Overview

GreenBank was first founded under the name Greene County Bank in 1890 and opened for business on February 20, 1891. The Bank's first president, W.H. O'Keefe, conceived the idea of establishing a bank with the basic principle of making handling money easier for customers. O'Keefe served as Greene County Bank's president for 15 years, building its first location in Greene County, Tennessee in 1893.
